Made-in-India iPhone X from July
7月开始iPhone X 印度制造
CHENNAI: Taiwanese contract manufacturer Foxconn will begin from July the commercial production of iPhone X range of smartphones for Apple from its 160-acre factory off Chennai, people aware of Foxconn’s India plans told ET
Better not buy the India assembled Iphone.
They will not be Made-in-India just assembled. There is a vast difference. Just another jumla announcement during the polls.
India is striving long for the world-class exclusive products that will be made in India for the world sincerely hope that this dream is realised in the near future.
Friends, Indians are too much price sensitive and rarely quality sensitive mostly.Apple is known for it''s quality but brutal in it''s price tag. Hence, I do not see Apple to be successful in Indian market. Cheap Chinese products will always be in upper hand in India.Apple phone will be confined to small section of Indians and very soon, they will understand that.
Excellent. Now people can start buying the quality superior apple phones rather cheap inferior Chinese brand phones.
It''s a result of Make in India!!

The operative word is “assembled”
Nice to hear.Hope components going into Iphone also gets manufactured in India in time to come.
what will be the expected prices...
That they won''t reduce immediately... After sometime they will reduce.... They need to recover some capitalisation required for establishing new facility
Why older models are made in India, we had iPhone5 SE and now X which is very less popular also.
为什么把旧机型拿到印度来组装。已经组装过iPhone5 SE，现在组装也不大受用户青睐的iPhone X
Indians are price sensitive rather than quality sensitive. Never forget that too.
Why still assembling, is there is no core comoetencies in manufacturing? Why chips and other essential components are not being manufactured..let our technocrats be more innovative. Hiw can India be super power if innovation is not happening
Assembled in India... Not "manufactured"
Fact Check For You
First step towards manufacturing. We do not have component markers in India yet.
IOS hype has to end... Even Chinese fellows are successful in using Android... Then why the hype... Though iOS is good I prefer Android

They do not want to dilute the premium customer base just like how merc, bmw dont produce cheap cars. Not that they cannot but they wouldn’t. There’s a significant difference.
I was referring to purchasing power of our Indian Consumers. How many can afford phone worth 1 Lacs + even iPhone X is overpriced. Unless they slash price substantially or come up with some kind to contract arrangement this manufacturing arrangement is not a viable step
India needs cheap iPhones!
